Old School Narrative

From the Denman Island West Ferry Terminal (arriving from Buckley Bay on Vancouver Island):

Go up the hill. At the top, there is a Y corner. Turn left, towards the General Store, to get on to Northwest Rd. (If you are on Denman Road, you went the wrong way).

Go past the store and other ‘downtown’ buildings, past Two Roads Farm and the Elk Lodge. After about 3 km the road will veer right, and you’ll hit a three way stop at Lake Road. Take the left fork to stay on Northwest Rd.

After a km or so, the road becomes unpaved and heads up a hill. At the top of the hill is another 3-way corner - turn right to stay on Northwest Rd (Don’t go straight onto Chrisman Rd).

Go past the mailboxes, then at the next 3-way, which is only 200 metres along, turn left to stay on Northwest Road. (Don’t turn right onto Creekside).

After about two hundred metres, around a gentle corner, you will see, on your right, the South Entrance to the property, marked by a sign, where D-Centre and Plan B(ean) are located.

If you are looking for the main living area, go another 500 m. along NW Rd, past the struggling vineyard on your left, and you will see the driveway on your right, marked by a sign.

If you hit Gladstone Way or Danes Rd, you’ve gone too far.

PLEASE NOTE: The hill up to the house can be hard on low-slung vehicles without four-wheel or all-wheel drive. We’ll come down to get you if you don’t want to take your car up. Or you can park at the bottom of the hill and walk - there’s a sign that points to where you can leave your car.
